DARJEELING FIRST FLUSH 2020
The first harvest in Darjeeling was interrupted by a lockdown in India and the teas we received were harvested early in the spring before the lockdown. Covid 19 problems and the big storm in West Bengal then led to delivery problems and major delays.
Finally, we recieved the tees. It is a good harvest of very good quality. This years harvest of the first harvest has been produced to about half, so many will be without teas.

Japanese sencha tea of unusual cultivar Sofu harvested May 2019. The tea is Ichibancha, first picking. A cultivar with aromatic characteristics sometimes used for this reason for more experimental Japanese oolong teas and which in this case does very well in this Sencha tea with a slightly floral aromatic hint of flavor.
