Green tea - Long Jing Superior
China's most famous green tea and one of China's most famous teas in general, also called Long Jing. This is an affordable variety of this tea from West Lake area produced of cultivar Long Jing #43. The tea is harvested in spring 2023.
The tea has a long history and is mentioned in the first book of Lu Yu from Tang Dynasty. There are a lot of classifications of this tea. The original is produced only in the West Lake area, Xi Hu, but variants of this tea is produced in a variety of places in China today.
Origin: Zhejiang Province, China
Taste: In the scent you sence the roasting of the tea and a chestnut scent. The taste has a lightly roasted tone that balances with a taste of chestnut with sweet tones.
Appearance: Flat green leaves. Brew has a light green color.
Steeping instructions:
4dl teapot - use about 6 grams of tea. Pour in 80 °C water and let it steep for 1 minute.
2dl teapot
- Use about 3 grams of tea. Pour in 80 °C water and let it steep for 1 minute.
Second steeping 1 minute.
Third steeping 2 minutes.
