Classic Muscatel Darjeeling tea of second flush from Balasun Tea Estate. The tea is grown at a high altitude without the use of peticides.
Balasun is an eco-certified and Fair Trade certified tea estate famous for the production of exclusive full-bodied teas. The name Balasun comes from the river Balasun which flows through the lower part of the tea estate.
Origin: Sonada, West Bengal, Darjeeling, India
Taste: Full-bodied, taste of muscatel, long aftertaste.
Appearance: The tea has high proportion of tips, dark in appearance and emits a beautiful golden colored brew.
Steeping Instructions:
4dl teapot - use about 6 grams of tea. Pour in 100° C water and let it steep for 40 sec.
2dl teapot - use about 3 grams of tea. Pour in 100° water and let it steep for 40 sec.
Second steeping 40 sec, third steeping 40 sec. Make sure the water temperature does not drop, the flavor develops with the heat.
The tea will hold for a couple steepings on the same leaves.
