Black tea
This is an orthodox Assam tea from Hattialli of clonal type cultivar P126. Hattialli is translated to "Elephant is coming", the Tea Estate is in an area that had a high population of elephants.
Assam is distinguished in taste from other black teas, and is a variant of tea bush called Camellia Sinensis var. assamica. Assam tea is generally grown at lower altitudes.
Origin: Dibrugarh, Assam, India
Taste: The tea has a strong full bodied taste with some bitterness.
Appearance: Black tea, golden tips, golden brew.
Steeping Instructions:
4dl teapot - use about 5 grams of tea. Pour in 100 °C water and let it steep for 40 seconds.
2dl teapot - use about 2.5 grams of tea. Pour in 100 °C water and let it steep for 40 seconds.
Second steeping 40 seconds.
Third steeping 40 seconds.
The tea will hold for several steepings on the same leaves.
