Oolong Tea
Alishan oolong tea harvested in the spring of year 2024. The tea bushes are grown at an altitude of 1300 m and are of Chin Shin cultivar. Alishan is one of the most famous teas from Taiwan, well known for its production of oolong teas.
Alishan is one of Taiwan's recreation areas where Taiwanese people go from the big city rhythms to enjoy its scenic areas. Tea has been manufactured in Alishan since 1920. Only a very small fraction of this tea is sold outside of Taiwan.
The area is very suitable for growing tea, with its fertile soil, cloudy mountains, lower temperatures and fresh air.
The fog and the cooler climate reduces the number of catechins in the tea and enhances Theanine and soluble nitrogen that with the help of the sun provides the tea with a sweet taste.
